Poet Sergey Mikhalkov, the author of three national anthems, has died, aged 97, in Moscow today.

The famous Russian film and theatre actor Semyon Farada died on the 20th of August at the age of 76. In recent years the actor had appeared neither in cinema nor on stage because of his poor health.

Four houses burned down and one woman died because of the plain crash that had happened on the August, 16 in Zhukovski. The compensation (50 000 rubles) given to the casualties, is too small.
