Trainers of the team think that silver medal is an achievement, because it was impossible to beat the German team.

Yesterday Russian team won only one medal, but it was a Gold medal.

Yesterday was a victorious day for Russian team: it brought two flawless victories and one bronze medal.

"I won this Olympic gold medal for my country.” The last time Russian skaters won Olympic gold in women’s speed skating competitions was in 1994.

First our biathletes Svetlana Ishmuratova and Olga Pyleva won gold and silver medals, then Dmitry Dorofeyev came second in speed skating. And to finish the day Tatyana Totmyanina and Maksim Marinin won gold medal in figure skating.

Russian sportswomen could actually take all three of the medals, but Martina Glagow, German biathlete, broke into what could have been “Russian finish”.

“These are my first Olympic Games, and I get a medal straight off!” – shares Evgenia with “Gazeta.ru”. Both Russian male medallists were mysteriously appointed to starting numbers 13 by the sortition. Could this be the lucky number for Russian team?
