Russian scientists qualified for the final of the prestigious Rene Descartes Award Contest. The submitted project “Climate and Environmental Change in the Arctic” (CECA) was developed by international research consortium headed by professor Johannessen of NERSC – Nansen Environment and Remote Survey Centre (Bergen, Norway). Besides Norway CECA science and research team includes German scientists (Max Planck Meteorology Institute, Hamburg) headed by Lennart Bengtson and Russian scientists (Nansen Environment and Remote Survey International Centre, Saint Petersburg) headed by Leonid Bobylev.
