December 30 will see the opening of ice sculpture festival on Poklonnaya Gora in Moscow. A whole ice town will be built there, with ancient palaces and fortresses, with the atmosphere of Old Rus of the 10th century and folk entertainments of that time. The opening ceremony will be accompanied by a concert with participation of folk ensembles.

Biblical festival of ice sculpture opens today in the city of Surgut (Yugra). 16 subjects from the Holy Scriptures have been incarnated in ice figures. The composition has been made by the creative team Poerika from Moscow. It took the sculptors a month and over 90 tons of ice to create the figures.
