The high-speed Sapsan train which was being tested during 7 months by the Russian and German specialists makes its first routine tour today. The train is found absolutely safe. Its main distinction from the forerunners is the speed. Sapsans high speed amounts to 300 km/h, but it will be exploited with lower one, 250 km/h. It is enough to cover the distance between the Russian capitals in 3 hours 45 minutes.

The air carrier of Transaero denies reports of the Israel mass media, stated that an incident with the air company’s aircraft happened in the airport of Tel-Aviv. It was reported that pilot managed to land the aircraft at the third attempt only, directed by controllers of Ben-Gurion. It was also reported that he was putting in danger the lives of the crew, passengers and the people who was not in the aircraft.

The Irish low-cost air company of Ryanair announced opening of a new air service to Dusseldorf from the Finnish border town of Lappeenranta. They will begin with two flights a week. Lappeenranta is situated in 25 km from the Russian border and in 210 km from St. Petersburg. According to the experts, the service is focused on the Russian passengers.

High-speed trains Pendolino begin running between St. Petersburg and Helsinki, Finland in the autumn, 2010. 450-km distance between the cities will be covered in 3 hours. It means, that the train journey Moscow – Helsinki would take you less than 7 hours, if you go from Moscow to St. Petersburg by Sapsan trains.
