In April 2007 the regular flights Moscow-Karachi were halted due to a shortage of aircraft. Since April 1, 2008, A-310 planes start flying from Sheremetyevo airport in Moscow to Karachi via Dubai.

After the recent crash of a SU-25 aircraft in the Russia’s Far East flights of all SU-25 strike jets were suspended. However, it is reported that despite the ban, SU-25 aircraft will take part in Victory parade in Moscow on the 9th of May and will fly over the city.
