Domodedovo Airport in Moscow has been gradually simplifying the process of safety control for passengers of outbound flights. The airport is equipping its check points with new scanners that help to make the process of passengers` screening much faster. Usage of the new scanners also eliminates the necessity to take shoes and belts off for extra-scanning. The airport has already equipped all check points on the second floor with the new scanners. Therefore, passing safety control there has already become faster taking into account that the second floor traditionally has a less number of passengers: the majority of departing passengers usually go to the first nearest control corridor on the first floor of the airport. It is planned to equip all check points on the first floor with the news scanners by the end of 2007.
