1997—The huge notorious monument to Peter the Great by Zurab Tsereteli is unveiled in Moscow.
It is done during the celebrations of the city’s 850th jubilee. The monument fixed up in the Moskva River is 94 meter high. Like many other works by Tsereteli the monument surprises with its enormous size and clumsiness.
