Dates in History
1866—First conservatory was founded in Moscow
Outstanding pianist and composer A. Rubinstein suggested to found a conservatory in Moscow.His idea was supported by Grand Duchess Elena.In 1940 the conservatory was given a name of Tchaikovsky.

1812—A military council is held in the village of Fili.
Mikhail Kutuzov decides to leave Moscow in order to save the army. The peasant's hut hosting the council is burnt in 1868, restored in 1887, and is the affiliated museum of Borodino Battle Panorama since 1962.
