Dates in History
1905—Artyom Mikoyan, Russian aircraft designer and engineer, is born.
Under his direction (in cooperation with M. Gurevich) pusuit planes MiG-1, MiG-3 were created, as well as first Soviet supersonic fighter aircrafts MiG-19, MiG-21, MiG-23. 55 world records have been held aboard planes, designed under Mikoyan direction.
