Dates in History
1845—Prince Lev Golitsyn, scientist and wine-maker, is born.
In 1878 he purchases the estate Novyi Svet where he makes experiments for Crimean sparkling wine creation. He manages to collect a unique quantity of wines. He becomes famous after starting production of sparkling wines in Russia.
