1866—Dmitry Merezhkovskiy, novelist, critic, and religious figure, is born.
His trilogy Christ and Antichrist, has been translated into many European languages, notably English and French. He supposed, that the history of the world is a triune process: first Christianity worshipping the Spirit came to take place of paganism with its cult of the flesh, and soon “Kingdom of the Third Testament” will come, when flesh and Spirit will unite.

988—Christening of Ancient Russia
Grand duke Vladimir,also known as "Vladimir Red Sun" or "Vladimir the Baptist" christened himself and his wife,which then led to the christening of all Russians in the river Dnepr.
