1928—Gorky Park (Cultural and leisure park named in honour of the writer Maxim Gorky) opens in Moscow.
It has always been a usual place to visit during weekends for families with children, loving couples or just friends. The park is famous for its large Joy Wheel and other attractions, green shadowy paths, lots of small cafes, ponds where it's possible to hire a boat or catamaran. During the winter park paths are covered with ice and it becomes a place for skaters.
