1911—The first Russian long route Saint-Petersburg Moscow plane competition begins.
Nine planes participate in the race, but only one of them Alexander Vasilievs Blerio XI reaches the finish line in Moscow. During this flight Alexander Vasiliev sets world record of 24-hour flight distance (667 for 15 hours of flying time), which becomes first world record of the Russian aviator.
