1911—The first Russian long route – Saint-Petersburg – Moscow – plane competition begins.
Nine planes participate in the race, but only one of them – Alexander Vasiliev’s “Blerio XI” – reaches the finish line in Moscow. During this flight Alexander Vasiliev sets world record of 24-hour flight distance (667 êì for 15 hours of flying time), which becomes first world record of the Russian aviator.
