1895—Pavel Osipovich Sukhoy, aircraft designer, constructor of jet planes and supersonic fighters, is born. His name now is world-famous; “SU” planes occupy a prominent place in the history of development of Russian and world aircraft construction. For the period of almost 50 years Sukhoy supervises construction of over 50 original designs and over 40 types of planes, 20 of which are put into serial production and arm Russian Air Force. |
