1896—The first Russian automobile appears at the All-Russia Industrial Artistic Exhibition.
It’s driven by its creators: Navy lieutenant Yevgeny Yakovlev and chariot master Pyotr Freze. The car weights 300 kg, and can go as fast as 13.5 miles per hour.
