1852—Dagestan field commander Khadzhi-Murat comes over to the Russian side.
He and his detachment kill the guards and go into the mountains. This helps Russian army in its struggle against Chechen rebels. Khadzhi-Murat’s head is still kept in the Kunstkamera in St. Petersburg.
