Dates in History
1671—Stepan Razin along with his brother Frol are being captured.
Stepan Razin is a Don Cossack, leader of the revolt of 1670-1671, the largest revolt in Russian history before the reign of Peter the Great. Stepan Razin becomes a folklore hero. It seems like he is the first Russian to become a subject of a thesis in the Western world (several years after his death).
