1735—Ivan Kulibin, self-taught inventor, is born. Kulibin develops unique pocket watch with music and mini-theatre in it, various designs of bridges, searchlight with parabolic reverberator, mechanical carriage with pedal drive. He also creates instruments, devices, and machines for working with optical glass. Kulibin is the founder of Russian technology of optical industry. |
