Dates in History
1899—Yury Olesha, writer, is born.
He is the author of the novel “The Three Fat Men”, so popular among Soviet kids. It tells the story about three fat rulers, horrible in appearance and their deeds, and good rebels who want freedom for everybody and fight for it. The story complies with the Soviet ideology, but still remains an excellent story about courage, friendship and love.
