1896—Georgy Zhukov, Soviet Union Marshal, four times Hero of the Soviet Union, is born.
In 1943 Zhukov becomes the first Marshal of the Soviet Union. The Soviet Army defeats the Germans and reaches Berlin in 1945 following his lead.

1825—Alexander I, Russian Emperor, dies.
Alexander becomes Emperor in 1801 after his father, Paul I, dies. In 1812 he decides to leave Moscow to the French invaders led by Napoleon. Napoleon occupies Moscow but fire, lack of food, and oncoming winter force him to retreat, thus starts his defeat. In December 1825 Alexanders death stimulates the unsuccessful Decembrist Revolt.
