1960—Dmitry Kharatyan, the Russian actor, is born

1945—The Main Botanic Garden of Academy of Science of the USSR is set up in Moscow.

1775—Yemelyan Pugachev, leader of rebellious army during the Peasant War in 1773–1775, dies.
Pugachev, Cossack from Don river, calls himself Emperor Peter III and wants to overthrow current Empress Yekaterina II. His associates betray him, and he is captured by the governmental troops, and later quartered.
