1775—Yemelyan Pugachev, leader of rebellious army during the Peasant War in 17731775, dies.
Pugachev, Cossack from Don river, calls himself Emperor Peter III and wants to overthrow current Empress Yekaterina II. His associates betray him, and he is captured by the governmental troops, and later quartered.
