1883—Alexey Tolstoy, writer, is born.
Alexey Tolstoy is born a count. In 1917 he doesn’t accept the Revolution and emigrates, but returns in 1923, chooses the path of conformity with the current Soviet Government, which enables him to live like a count in a country where everybody is supposed to be equal. Alexey Tolstoy is nonetheless one of the most talented Soviet writers.
