1811The Kazan Cathedral is consecrated after ten years of its construction after the design of the well-known architect Andrei Voronikhin. The idea of the Cathedral building belonged to Pavel the First: during his journey in Europe he takes to the St. Paul Cathedral in Rome and decides to have something of the kind in St. Petersburg.
