1698—Four Strelets regiments start revolt in order to overthrow the tzar Peter I.
They want his son Alexey to rule Russia. The reason for their discontent is that the authorities didn’t keep their promise to let participants of the 2-year long Azov campaign return home. This Strelets Uprising is the last one. Of several thousand former tzar servants only a few survived. Tzar Peter the Great personally chopped off many heads.
