Dates in History
1912—The Museum of Fine Arts is opened in Moscow.
In 1937 the museum is named after Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin. Today the museums collection holds over 400 thousand engravings, drawings, books with engravings, posters, bookplates (some of them about 6 centuries old). Among which there are works of Albrecht Duerer, Rembrandt, Peter Paul Rubens, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Pablo Picasso, Russian painters Karl Bryullov, Alexander Ivanov, Vladimir Favorsky, Alexander Deyneka, etc. Antique collection includes several thousand authentic vessels, sculptures, etc.
