Dates in History
1805—Russian-English convention concerning intentions to create an All-European coalition against Napoleonic France is concluded in St. Petersburg.
Later the convention is joined by Austria.

1803—Kozma Prutkov, writer, philosopher, is born.
Prutkov is director of Assay Chabmer, author of poems, fables, plays, and aphorisms. Some of his most popular sayings are: “Nobody can embrace unembraceable.” “If you have a fountain, shut it up. Let even a fountain have a rest." "Throwing pebbles into the water, look at the ripples they form on the surface, otherwise, such occupation becomes an idle pastime."
