Dates in History
1922—Post of General Secretary of the Communist Party of the USSR is established.
The first person elected to take up the post is Joseph Stalin.

1836—Nikolay I makes a decision to build the first Russian passenger railroad.
The railroad is to go from St. Petersburg to Pavlovsk (Leningrad Oblast) through Tzarskoe Selo, and is called Tzarskoselsk Railroad.
