Only Stars on the Kremlin Stage
The principal dancer of the Covent Garden Royal Theater Vadim Muntagirov and Daria Klimentova will perform the short ballet The Spirit of the Rose. The contemporaries of Vaslav Nijinsky made legends about this performance, whereas his final jumps, when he would fly over half the stage, hang in the air and then disappeared, couldn’t help but enrapture the audience.

The world-famous dancer and choreographer, ex-principal dancer of Maurice Bejart’s troupe will perform this piece together with outstanding Russian ballerina Ilze Liepa.

For the first time in Moscow, the Ballet of the “Astana Opera” State Opera and Ballet Theater under the direction of the People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Altynai Asylmuratova will present the captivating oriental tale Scheherazade with the restored scenery and costumes designed by Leo Bakst.
The Golden Slave part will be young performed by virtuoso Bakhtiyar Adamjan, the winner of the XIII International Ballet and Choreography Contest in Moscow. Ballet critics and the public all over the world fully appreciated the “magnificent flights by the principal dancer of Astana Opera, which, in the most incredible jumps, keeps the exemplary academicism of shape”. The part of Zobeida will be danced by a young soloist of the theater, a sophisticated oriental beauty, Anastasia Zaklinskaya.

This night, the brightest stars of world ballet will light up the Kremlin stage:
Julia Makhalina (the Mariinsky Theater),
Tatiana Melnik (the Hungarian State Opera House),

Eleonora Sevenard (the Bolshoi Theater of Russia),

Xander Parish (the Mariinsky Theater),

Denis Rodkin (the Bolshoi Theater of Russia).
