Revel in Russian National Dance Show "Gzhel" in Moscow

A grand theatrical performance of the National Dance Show "Gzhel" is taking place in the concert hall of the Plekhanov Congress Center from May 26 to September 29, 2018.
“Gzhel” is an extraordinary dance show that takes the viewers on an exciting musical journey to explore various regions of Russia and enjoy their vivid folk traditions and colourful Russian arts and crafts.
For an hour and a half of the spectacular performance you will marvel at breath-taking stunts, relish fascinating lyrical dances and join in traditional folk merry-making festivities with national Russian costumes.
 
In this incredible choreography show, the viewers will be demonstrated the paragons of Russian arts and crafts as well as the rich and diverse culture of Russia’s peoples.
The spectacular show Gzhel gets the best of Russian traditions and scenes of folk life. This dance performance alone embodies all the major Russian arts and crafts, such as Gzhel Ceramics, Palekh Miniature Painting, Khokhloma Tableware, and others.
Colourful folk costumes emphasize the authenticity of Russian fashion and traditional Russian dress. A multimedia screen that displays the background scenery gives modern look to this captivating demonstration of Russian history.
The dance theater "Gzhel" regularly participates in festive concerts in Red Square as well as other sightseeing places in Moscow, rightfully being a cultural signature line of the capital city of Russia. The theatre’s recognition and popularity on the world's largest stages is another evidence of the public’s inexhaustible interest in the Russian folk dance and traditional music.
The ballet dancers mesmerize the audience with their expressiveness and sincere emotionality, an enormous asset of expressive means and deep understanding of the traditional Russian dance.
The performance of the Gzhel Theater celebrates bright colors and vivid emotions of the dance of life. Even the most well-versed and experienced spectators will revel in the festive show!
 
 
The dance show Gzhel is performed on the modern stage of the Plekhanov Congress Centre. That is a state-of-the-art auditorium that seats 1,100 viewers at once. Just like the world’s best concert venues, it boasts a huge HD-screen, topnotch light and sound equipment, as well as comfortable contour chairs. Since the autumn of 2017, large-scale international projects, festivals and landmark city events have been held here.

The hall of the Congress Center, built in the form of a modern amphitheater, excels in perfect acoustics and has stair-like rising rows of seats, which enables viewer to have the best perception effect of the performance on stage.
Duration of the dance show Gzhel is 1 hour 50 minutes (intermission included)

Where: The Congress Center is located in a 5-minute walk distance from the Serpuhovskaya metro station and 20-minute walk from the Moscow Kremlin.
When: 18, 21, 25, and 28 July;
1, 4, 8, 11, 15, 18, 22, 25, and 29 August;
1, 5, 8, 12, 15, 19, 22, 26, and 29 September, 2018.
