It is a countryside residence of Professor Pavel Chistyakov, the favourite teacher of the most prominent Russian artists of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.

The owner himself participated in designing his country house in Tsarskoye Selo. The architect Alexander Kolb designed it in the Russian style, with wood-carved decor outside and inside.
