On the 20th of April, 2013 the summer city festival The best city on the Earth started in Moscow. The festival provides more than a thousand and a half of events in all the districts of the Russian capital.


The largest in the world accumulation of the biggest Gesner wild tulips with various colouring are in Kalmykia at the shores of the huge salt lake Manych that reminds a real sea gulf. The Tulips Festival takes place in the Republic of Kalmykia from the 20th till the 30th of April.


The Festival "Our Animation" has been showing the best and the newest domestic cartoons for many years already. It provides an opportunity not only to see the interesting, bright, funny and sometimes dark and experimental animation works, but also to be aware of the changes - that is to see how animation develops, expands or contracts, if it becomes more cheerful or sad. Each year is unlike any other, every festival has its own leit-motif, and each program gives a new twist, a new theme, and perhaps a new view of the art of animation in general.


The Music Festival ART-MUSIC Classics in Arkhangelsk will gather the musicians from eight countries. Its main goal is to present the best specimens of classical, folk and pop art in one of the most prestigious chamber concert halls in Russia on the Arkhangelsk land.


Russia National Theatre Award, The Golden Mask, was established in 1993 by the Theatre Union of the Russian Federation and is given to the performances of all genres of theatre art: drama, opera, ballet, modern dance, operetta and musical, puppet theatre. The Golden Mask is a Russian theatre festival held each spring in Moscow that presents the most significant performances of Russian cities.


Future Shorts is the only festival held in Russia that introduces to the viewers the best world achievements of the short films industry. Future Shorts celebrates the best and most innovative short films, connecting global stories with global audiences.


Perm has recently been striving for the title of the cultural capital of Russia. Though the aim is far to reach, there seem to be certain preconditions for that, among them a number of large-scale art and culture festivals regularly held in Perm and the Perm Territory.


October, 24th, 2010 saw the closing ceremony of the First Open Ecological Film Festival ''Green Carnation'' on Square of Arts in Sochi.The festival has been included into the program of the Cultural Olympic Games Sochi 2010-2014.


The major event of the last week was certainly the triumphant final of the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time held in Russia. Alexander Rybak representing Norway became the winner in a close contest in the final. Alexander was born in Minsk, Byelorussia, and considers the Russian language to be his mother tongue


Grushinsky Festival (aka Grusha, Grushinka, and so on) is a famous open-air music festival that is annually held in midsummer in Russia.


Appealing to the innermost strings in peoples hearts, the art of bell ringing captivates listeners ears and minds. More and more people in Russia and other countries want to become familiar with bell ringing, master it and create this magic with their own hands. The early 1980s saw the revival of this ancient art in Russia with the festivals of bell ringing held in various corners of this country.


We are still not very used to huge and spectacular performances. When Rolling Stones, or U2, started to gather people on the stadiums, only a handful of Russians had ever heard about them.


Claptons charitable concert in the Red Square on August 3 supports the unique bicycling marathon MoscowTaganrog, which will start off from the Vasilyevsky Spusk on August 4, at 9 a.m.


The sport resort Sorochany in the suburbs of Moscow has turned into ETHNOLAND, a unique park of the world culture festivals open from 14 July to 27 August.


It is hardly possible to give an overall unbiased picture of the annual Grushinsky festival of bard songs


The festival of world music Island of Light has occupied the cozy Garden Hermitage, one of the most pleasant places in downtown Moscow.


If you are not devoid of romanticism take a chance once and come to an air-balloon festival!
