Easter Gift 2017 - Enjoy Spring Festival in Moscow!

The bright holiday of Easter will be celebrated in Moscow from April 12 to April 23. It is going to be the plethora of delicious and beautiful cakes, souvenir fairs with master classes, concerts, charity projects, lenten dainties and splendent art objects.

The Easter Gift festival annually held in Moscow in mid-April, is timed to Easter, one of the biggest and brightest Christian holidays. 24 central venues and parks of Moscow will host concerts and performances, accompanied with a big choice of Easter cakes, drinks and souvenirs on sale. The main theme of the festival this year will be the traditions of celebrating Easter.

Charitable actions, folk music and dance concerts, dramatic performances, and literary recitals will make the Easter Gift 2017 bright and memorable. Visitors are going to ride on old merry-go-rounds and hills, try their wings at traditional Russian crafts, scenic speech and calligraphy, and take part in excursions.

A contest in painting two-meter Easter eggs will be held at the High-Petrovsky Monastery. Eleven of Moscow churches will arrange cultural events on these days.

In April, the weather in Moscow is already warm and sunny, so enjoy a walk around the city! This year, in the framework of the festival, city streets will be decorated with dozens of art objects in the form of painted Easter eggs, holiday chalets and flower arrangements. So there will be hunreds of beautiful places, which will make ideal background for selfies.

In case you get tired, make a stop at some of the numerous street restaurants and shopping chalets. Refresh yourself with pastries and monastic dishes just cooked, try unusual taste combinations and make sure that even lenten food can be tasty.
The venues of the Easter Gift festival will be traditionally located in Tverskaya and Pushkinskaya Square, Tverskoi Boulevard, Arbat Street and other popular places in the heart of Moscow.
