Animal art exhibition - “Bestiary 2013” opens on July 2, 2013 in Moscow Darwin Museum. Visitors will see very unusual animals: there are animals and birds, fish and insects, octopuses and jellyfish made of stone, wood, bronze, porcelain in the halls.
The exhibition is located in the greenhouse (one of the most beautiful rooms of the museum under a glass roof), also in the open exhibition area on the roof of GDM. In the Middle Ages Bestiary were picture books containing information on a wide variety of animals: both real and fictional. On the exhibition “Bestiary 2013” it is possible to see many of them.
The audience will admire Black-headed gulls and snakes made of faience, spider from rosewood, condor and crane chicks in bronze, also white elephant, happy cat, lynx with young lynx, lions, bears, antelope, fishes, turtles and many other creatures of various materials.
All the artists participating in the exhibition have been connected by sincere love for wildlife, the ability to see the beauty in it shapes and colors, the desire to express their admiration for this beauty. The exhibition will last until September 22, 2013.
