Biotechnology is a young science and we still do not know all possible consequences of bringing genetically modified organisms (GMOs) to various natural ecosystems. Methods of biotechnology may unintentionally do harm to Earth’s biosphere and human health. Biosafety aims at reducing the potential risks resulting from biotechnology and its products.


International Olympic Committee has done something terrible – it has chosen Russian health resort Sochi as the host for Winter Olympic Games of 2014.


Several weeks ago the frost was severe, however, something tempted me to take a walk along Moscow boulevards. I decided to drop in the “Club na Brestskoy” for having mulled wine or tea with rum. Some critics claim this film to be a revelation, some say it is dull and lacks the idea. But definitely Pavel Lungin`s Island is worth watching.


Recently I admired the best Russian film I have ever seen. The name of the masterpiece is Euphoria and its director’s name is Ivan Vyrypaev. Just keep your eyes wide open and be prepared for the beauty coming inside your brain straight from the screen.


The rainy and muddy last autumn month brought a real celebration for those, longing for the sun and summer flings.


It was the first time the band came to Russia, but Corey promised to come back with more songs, because he liked tohe country and people were very friendly.

I consider kitesurfing to be one of the most interesting and exciting sports and it is my pleasure to reveal some Russian hot spots for mad kite surfers (and wind surfers, as well).
