Homeless dogs and human rights

Animal rights activists suppose the animals are also the members of our society and should have their rights. They are right: pushing the analogy further, we see that the homeless animals are just the same, like the homeless people. In practice, they have no rights, but many problems and haunt other members of society. They are ill, aggressive and they reproduce without any control. Nevertheless, there is a pair of differences. First of all, the people and the domestic animals are different biological species with different possibilities. Secondly, the people can be responsible for themselves and for that the animals becoming homeless but not conversely. So, the people can solve the problem, and the solution would not satisfy everybody. I am definitely sure that the homeless animals, especially dogs, should be annihilated in my city, and now I try to explain why.

First of all, the dogs bite, sometimes such incidents come to no good for the people, including the lethal cases. If I was bitten by a dog, which has owner, I can compensate the moral and financial damage, having had the law on the owner. The asexualization is not good enough; such animals keep being hungry, ill and aggressive. Such measures were taken in Moscow, but gave no result. First of all, it is simply impossible to sterilize all the dogs. Secondly, it doesnt solve other problems.

Secondly, homeless dogs have dangerous diseases, like canine madness, which has lethal outcome overwhelmingly. The ill dog can bite you, and you die, because it has no owner who could vaccinate it. The homeless dogs bite each other, and the infection spreads.

Thirdly, bands of the stray dogs, living in my district, hinder my freedom of movement. I must cross the road, or choose the ways, where they dont appear usually, to avoid their attack because the dogs are inclined to attack the people riding a bicycle or on roller-skates. I want to enjoy my right of the free movement on the bicycle or roller skates, or simply walk where I want.

These arguments were dealing with the problem of the homeless dogs for the people. There are also some arguments concerning to the domestic animals.

First of all, the homeless animals are not happy; they suffer from the hunger and diseases. They die under the cars wheels or become disgusting traumas. The homeless dogs and cats dont live more than 1-2 years. Was not it more moral to stop their miserable lives in spite of prolonging their suffering.

Secondly, a mad dog can bite not only you (your friends, family, children), but your dog as well. Even if it is not mad, the homeless dog can kill your pet. And you would not have a possibility to compensate the damage. My classmates little poodle was attacked and tore by a homeless dog. She was depressed few weeks and had to take rather expensive medicines.

Thirdly, what about the wild animal, bitten by the mad dogs? Yes, the wild animals from the parks on the outskirts of the big cities. There are some such parks on the territory of Moscow. The ecologists all over the country have noticed such a strange thing as cases of the canine madness among the animals, which do not usually have it: hedgehogs, brown bears, squirrels and elks. The elks live in some parks near Moscow and sometimes come to the territory of the city, so it is possible that they are bitten by the dogs. The ecologists are anxious now, because the cases of the canine madness become more and more often among the wild animals. There is only one way to stop it until it turns into something serious: to vaccinate all the dogs which are not yet vaccinated. How do you imagine the vaccination of all the homeless dogs? It is physically impossible, and nobody will sponsor it. Now let me to remember, that the canine madness is a fatal disease.

Finally, I am simply disinterested in the dogs, consequently, dont want to take them in my home as some people advice to do to solve this problem, to sponsor them from my taxes in spite of sponsoring my own future pension; and have my right for that. Have you ever heard about the rights of the human specie? I want to ride a bike and skate without troubles. I like the wild animals, especially elks and I wish they were healthy. I suppose it was more fairly to begin with ourselves, especially in our country.
