Russian National Agency for Financial Studies published a report on average wages in Russia.

Average income of Russian financiers is two times higher than the national level, which makes them the most highly paid employees in the country, as “Izvestiya” newspaper reports with a reference to the report of the analytical centre of the National Agency for Financial Studies.

The experts have also determined the districts with the highest average wages: these are Central (53 406 roubles per month), Far Eastern (52 759 roubles) and North-Western (48 654 roubles) federal districts.

In the course of the analysis, the experts used statistics on the main indicators of the labor market in Russia for the first half of 2018; the average salary in Russia for the specified period amounted to 42,521 roubles per month excluding VAT.

Financiers earn an average of 87,991 roubles per month.

The second line in the ranking of the most highly paid professions is taken by the experts in the field of mining who receive an average of 86,982 roubles per month.

The top three is closed by the employees of the information and communication sphere whose average salary amounts to 70,839 roubles.

The lowest salaries are paid to hotel workers and catering companies who receive an average of 25,842 roubles per month.

According to the statistics from the Ministry of Labor, in September, engineers became the most demanded labor market specialists, including machine engineers, machine engineers, instrumentation engineers, and others, according to “Izvestia”.

The Ministry of Labor also reports that there is still a high demand for medical personnel and highly skilled workers.
