Russia is not Crypto Friendly
May 17, 2018 16:41

Switzerland is the friendliest country for crypto-currency and blockchain projects. The rating is presented on the conference's website BlockShow Europe 2018. The authors of the rating studied the regulation of crypto-currencies in 48 European countries; the top-10 was published on the conference's website and it does not contain Russia.

The tenth line is occupied by Belarus. The country was placed on the top of the list, also because  there is a zero tax on crypto-currencies in the country, that is explained in the study. The second place is occupied by Gibraltar and the third place - by Malta. The first five in the list is closed by Denmark. At the end of 2017 Belarus legalized all the crypto-currencies and transactions with them. The decree signed by the Belarusian President, Alexander Lukashenko, does not imply any restrictions on operations for creation, placement, storage, alienation, exchange of security tokens, as well as the activities of crypto-exchanges and crypto platforms.

In Russia, bitcoin and other crypto-currencies are not regulated. In January the Ministry of Finance introduced a draft law, in which they refused to consider the digital money as payment instruments. The document has not been approved yet.
