The Chinese online store AliExpress (part of the Alibaba Group) is launching a new brand in Russia – Lowcoster, specializing in the trade of goods with maximum price of 600 rubles. According to the representative of the company, Lowcaster is a discounter.
"The new brand is designed primarily for young "low-budget" audience, so first it will be launched in a mobile application of AliExpress - its main audience consists of the users up to 25 years old," the agency notes.
Lowcoster is designed to attract new users, especially in cities with a population over one million, explained the representative of AliExpress.
In the autumn of 2017 AliExpress brought to the Russian market the Tmall platform specializing in the sale of goods of medium and high price segment.
In the first half of 2017, Russia entered the top three of the leading countries in the scope of purchases on AliExpress.
