In annual terms, Russian investments in US securities increased by 22 percent in November 2017 from $ 86.6 billion. Russia occupies the 15th place in the list of holders of American debt. China is on the top line - the volume of investment is 1.177 trillion US dollars. Japan is on the second place reducing the portfolio by 9.9 billion dollars - up to 1.084 trillion.
Ireland is on the third place with 328.7 billion dollars.
In June 2017, Reuters reported that the US Federal Reserve provides the US authorities with confidential information about the funds of foreign central banks, including the Bank of Russia.
