Tinkoff Bank Will Support Machine Learning

Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MFTI), Oleg Tinkov and top managers of Tinkoff Bank announced the creation of trust fund to support the researches in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning. It was founded by the graduates of the Institute of Physics and Technology, top managers of Tinkoff Bank, Artem Yamanov and Evgeny Ivashkevich, and Oleg Tinkov, the founder of Tinkoff Bank.

This fund, the investments of which amounted to 100 million rubles, became the largest specialized trust fund of MFTI. It is open, and this suggests that later the staff of Tinkoff Bank – the graduates of the the Institute of Physics and Technology - can join with donations.

Hundreds of employees of Tinkoff Bank - from the initial positions to the top managers are the graduates of the the Institute of Physics and technology. And the creation of such a fund is one of the ways to say "thank you" to their university, said Artyom Yamanov, Senior Vice President of Tinkoff Bank. "We hope that our experience will inspire the colleagues to support this idea, and the number of endowment funds in Russian universities will grow," the top manager emphasized.
