A System Of Continuous Traceability Of Goods Will Be Implemented In Russia
November 22, 2017 11:35

Since 2024 a system of continuous traceability of goods turnover can be deployed in Russia. According to Kommersant, on January 25, 2018, five departments and Rostekh will submit a corresponding concept to the government.

Marking of goods will be introduced in the image and likeness of the present labeling of medicines. Technically, the project can be implemented by means of QR codes on a protected brand and cash register technology of the current generation.

According to the instructions of Prime Minister, Dmitry Medvedev, the legislative and conceptual basis for the system of continuous marking of goods with identification marks will be prepared.

If the project is successfully implemented, Russia can become the first country in the world to fully control any commodity business operations, including retail sales and taxation. The system is proposed to be provided within the framework of public-private partnership. The cost of the project for five to six years can be estimated in tens of billions of rubles, but it looks repayable, the newspaper notes.
