 The Ministry of Finance of Russia will buy currency in the amount of 47.6 billion roubles from August 7 to September 6 within the framework of operations for absorbing excess liquidity. Thus the volume of purchases will grow 640 times, in comparison with July.

It is expected that additional oil and gas revenues will amount to 40.2 billion roubles in August. In July the budget oil and gas revenues grew by 7.4 billion roubles, mainly due to the higher exchange rate of the dollar, as well as because of the excess of actual gas production and export of petroleum products, as the Finance Ministry noted.

The daily volume of currency purchase will be 2.07 billion roubles. From July 7 to August 4 the Ministry of Finance has purchased the currency in the amount of 74.3 million roubles. In June the agency purchased the currency in the amount of 45.1 billion roubles, in May - 8.5 billion, in April - 69.9 billion, in February - 113.1 billion roubles.
