Air carrier, S7 Airlines, received the first airliner Airbus A320neo.
The aircraft was transferred to the airline on Friday, July 21, at the manufacturer's factory in Toulouse. It is noted that S7 Airlines was the first Russian airline company, in the fleet of which the Airbus A320neo has appeared.
The aircraft was obtained on a lease basis from the leasing company BOC Aviation Limited. The head of the board of directors of S7 Airlines, Vladislav Filev, noted that the Airbus A320neo is more efficient in operation: fuel consumption is reduced by 15 percent, and the flight range is higher than in the previous generation.
"Soon S7 Airlines passengers will be the first in Russia to experience the new level of comfort offered by this modern aircraft. Gradually, the aircraft of the renewed family will replace all those located in the park of Airbus A320", the top manager promised. Commercial Director of Airbus Commercial Aircraft, John Leahy, in turn added that the airline should appreciate the high fuel efficiency of this model and the benefits of unification with the existing park of A320.
